F**k this guy. No one should deal with him. He breaks every promise, every treaty, every notion of decency. F**k this guy.

President Trump’s post threatening to block the opening of a major new US-Canada bridge was filled with important omissions and misleading claims. - Trump professed astonishment that the Canadian government would expect him to support the project. He didn’t mention that he explicitly endorsed the project in a 2017 joint statement with then-PM Trudeau, calling it a “vital economic link” and saying he looked forward to its quick completion. - Trump, complaining about Canada, said “we should own, perhaps, at least one half of this asset.” But the state of Michigan already owns half of the bridge. - Trump said, “I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them.” But Canada paid for the entire bridge construction. - Trump complained about a Buy American waiver Obama granted the project, then claimed the waiver let Canada “not use any American products, including our Steel.” But the waiver actually allowed Canadian and US steel to be treated equally in consideration for the project, and numerous Canadian officials and Republican former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder say some American steel was indeed used. (Also worth noting the Obama administration said it was granting the waiver out of a “basic notion of fairness” because the project was a “unique circumstance…under which Canada is assuming all financial liability and risk for the construction.”) Fact check: cnn.com/2026/02/10/pol…

Okay, Sweetie, a number of things here: 1. She wasn't a cadet. She was a midshipman. 2. The Naval Academy has an informal Honor Concept, which you're confusing with West Point's formal Honor Code. West Point has a rigid, legalistic approach that requires reporting, while the Naval Academy encourages peer-driven accountability and culturally-motivated integrity to handle honor issues. 3. Thus, at West Point, failing to report cheating results in structured punishment up to expulsion adjudicated through a formal process; failing to do so at the Naval Academy may still result in severe punishment but is not required, leaving room for nuance in the circumstances. 4. Whether or not the public has the right to know if a 21-year-old declined to snitch on her classmates at the Naval Academy is still besides the main point here: her records were illegally accessed and released for political purposes. And you seem to be ignoring that simple fact. 5. Before speaking on military matters when you haven't served yourself, I would encourage you to research these issues a bit more. Doing so can avoid moments like this.

@cmclymer Actually you do not understand it. She broke the cadet code at the highest level. She could have been expelled. The public has a right to know. The information should not have been with held from the public .

Here's a piece of literature by me, suitable for seventeen-year-olds in Alberta schools, unlike -- we are told -- The Handmaid's Tale. (Sorry, kids; your Minister of Education thinks you are stupid babies.) John and Mary were both very, very good children. They never picked their noses or had bowel movements or zits. They grew up and married each other, and produced five perfect children without ever having sex. Although they claimed to be Christian, they paid no attention to what Jesus actually said about the poor and the Good Samaritan and forgiving your enemies and such; instead, they practised selfish rapacious capitalism, because they worshipped Ayn Rand. (Though they ignored the scene in The Fountainhead where “welcomed rape” is advocated, because who wants to dwell, and also that would have involved sex and would de facto be pornographic. Well, it kind of is, eh?) Oh, and they never died, because who wants to dwell on, you know, death and corpses and yuk? So they lived happily ever after. But while they were doing that The Handmaid’s Tale came true and Danielle Smith found herself with a nice new blue dress but no job. The end.

“Tragedies like this are as political as you can possibly get.” Parkland survivor @camkasky points to the 22yo intern Trump put in charge of terrorism prevention🤔 and budget/staff cuts as likely reasons the Minneapolis shooter’s posts telegraphing this horror went unnoticed.
