Of course that’s your contention. You’re a first-year grad student. You just got finished watching some Jordan propaganda documentary, probably The Last Dance, and now you’re convinced nobody will ever touch him. That’s gonna last until next month when you actually start looking at the numbers, then you’re gonna be talking about LeBron leading both teams in every major stat in the 2016 Finals and coming back from 3-1 against a 73-win Warriors team. Then next year you’re gonna be in here regurgitating longevity stats, talking about 40,000 points, being elite for over 20 years, eight straight Finals appearances, and carrying absolute roster disasters to June every season. You’re gonna realize the greatest player ever isn’t just about highlights and sneakers it’s about being the best overall basketball player for the longest period of time, and nobody in NBA history checks every box like LeBron James.
The year is 2012…
The Knicks are down 3-0 vs the NBA Finals Champions, Miami Heat:
Featuring the Big 3 of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh….
Game 1 100-67
Game 2 94-84
Game 3 87-70
That’s a -60 Deficit!
We knew we were going to lose!
Knicks fans SHOWED UP IN GAME 4.
That’s the difference!
Where do Sixers fans get off crying about the owner, gm, roster, and coach when just 2 days ago it was “Sixers in 6”
Face it: once the excuses ran out and you were forced to look this shit product in the face? You became what you always were:
A FAIR WEATHER FAN BASE!
Truth Hurts.
If you've been a lifelong Knicks fan...you can't help but feel a little emotional at what we're seeing right now.
Other fanbases will laugh, but who cares. They haven't been through what we have. This Knicks team is special.
If you want to play video games, build Legos, collect comics, watch anime etc…as a grown ass adult then do it.
Don’t let anyone tell you what hobbies you should or shouldn’t have.
