@LesleeWatson3 @Real_Comfyfren Tweety Bird wasn’t even Disney.

@Real_Comfyfren Infants are born with eyes wide apart. Disney used it as part of Tweedy Birds design so we would be attracted to cuteness. No mistakes.

Our officers’ vigilance continues to make a difference, leading to the apprehension of multiple wanted individuals today:
On Pleasant Grove Rd: An officer stopped a vehicle with no license plate. During the stop, a 28-year-old man from Hohenwald was found to have multiple failure-to-appear warrants out of Lewis County for Non-Payment of Child Support. He was taken into custody.
On I-40 East: A truck was pulled over for speeding, unlawful window tint, and expired tags. The driver, a 49-year-old man from Nashville, had an active nationwide warrant from the TN Department of Corrections for parole violation. He was on parole for multiple drug sales convictions and was previously charged by MJPD in June 2024 for Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Instead of turning himself in after being notified of his arrest warrant, he absconded and had been in hiding—until today.
On Golden Bear Gateway: A delivery box truck ran a red light, leading to a traffic stop. The passenger, a 32-year-old man from Smyrna, was found to have a felony theft warrant out of Nashville. He had been wanted since September 2019.
Great work by our officers in keeping our community safe!

Our #MJGuardianShield license plate readers continue to make a difference. While this car never made it into Mt. Juliet, one of our readers detected it nearby, triggering an alert. Our team immediately notified @MNPDNashville, leading to the suspects’ swift apprehension.
We’re grateful for this cutting-edge technology and the dedicated officers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Clearly, they knew better than to enter MJ—but they still got too close!

@TheRavinMaven1 They’re muffs that have “busy” things attached like zippers, buttons, colorful ribbon, etc. Patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia as well as people in the hospital with anxiety use them for calm.

I mentioned that I started a charity about 5 years ago. We knit and crochet and donate to local places.
-Hats and Scarves for the homeless
-Twiddlemuffs for Alzheimer’s patients
-Waterproof sleeping mats for homeless veterans (made from plastic bags)
-Preemie blankets, hats and booties for babies born still
-Hats, scarves and lap robes for cancer treatment centers.
Some of our donations are pictured below.

@LebanonPD LPD?!! I had no idea! How did that happen? I thought he lived in TX.

So cool to see honorary Lebanon Police Officer, DJ Daniel, become a Secret Service agent!!
A few years back, The Lebanon Police Department had the fortunate opportunity to make DJ Daniel an honorary officer of the Lebanon Police Department. Today, he was sworn in as a member of the United States Secret Service.
If you do not know the story of DJ Daniel, we challenge you to familiarize yourself with his incredible journey. DJ is a 13 year-old who has been battling terminal brain cancer. He has shown immense strength, resilience, and determination in the face of adversity.

@MtJulietPolice Hard to believe it’s been 5 years. I can still remember the terror like it was yesterday.

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the devastating tornado that struck our community on March 3, 2020. We pause to remember the lives lost and the lasting impact this tragedy had on our city. Our hearts remain with the families of James & Donna Eaton and Brandy Barker, whose lives were taken far too soon.
On this day, we also honor the incredible bravery and dedication of our police officers, first responders, and community members who rushed into the devastation to rescue, assist, and support those in need. Your selflessness and courage in the face of such destruction will never be forgotten.
This video (linked below) serves as a sobering reminder of the tornado’s sheer size and power. Captured from the LC Apartments in the Providence area, looking toward West Wilson Middle School, the footage shows the storm illuminated by flashes of lightning.
Nighttime tornadoes are especially dangerous, underscoring the importance of being prepared. As we enter severe weather season, we urge everyone to have multiple ways to receive alerts—especially a NOAA weather radio. Do not rely solely on outdoor sirens, as they are designed to be heard outside. Take time to identify the safest place in your home to seek shelter.
Together, we remember, and we remain resilient.

Chief and I experienced another powerful reminder today of just how resilient and dedicated our team is. We are incredibly grateful that someone we love—a valued member of Team MJPD—walked away safely after confronting a dangerous, assaultive felon determined to evade justice. Their courage and commitment, along with the unwavering support of our community, is what makes this city a safer place. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement for the men and women who put everything on the line every day to protect Mt. Juliet. It means more than you know, and you are a light as bright as the sun to all of us.

@MtJulietPolice Amazing work, MJPD. Your proactive, hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. We are thankful for you, and are proud to call you OURS! 💙💙💙

A big thank you to Mayor Maness for recognizing our department’s hard work during yesterday’s State of the City address!
Key Highlights:
-The department leads the state for cities and counties with populations over 15,000 in proactive activity-generated crime, reflecting officers’ tireless efforts to keep our community safe. An impressive 58% of crime (finding illegal drugs, weapons, and wanted people) is generated through officers' proactive efforts— identifying issues and addressing them before they impact our community.
-Officers' proactive efforts keeps crime that affects our community members down.
-The overwhelming majority of offenders do not live within Mt. Juliet or even Wilson County.
-Mt. Juliet’s total crime rates of combined crimes against persons and property— crime that affects community members and businesses —remain one of the lowest across Tennessee, underscoring the success of the department’s focus on reducing offenses that directly affect the lives of our community members.
We are proud of our officers’ commitment to keeping Mt. Juliet safe!
