It’s becoming a parody. Why bother condemning what you have the power to stop? Doing that is just big a green light to Putin. At least the ambassador admits that Russia escalates not despite Ukrainian or Western actions, but because of a lack of deterrence.

Remember in 2008 when Putin threatened to nuke Poland if they got a defensive missile shield (so Russians couldn't do to them what russians would later do to Ukraine) and Poland got the missile shield then Putin did nothing?
