@spyder733 I respect the opinion, but not everyone can set this president. We’re talking multi pro bowl, 3x top 100 player last three years, and wants a contract because he signed before the market blew up with the quinnen and others after him. We also don’t exactly grow talent either

The Dexter Lawrence situation saddens me. He’s been here from the start, wears the C badge, and had a down year with good years before that. Bandaid last year with incentives, and is a FA 2027 while making 20 mil a year. NFL players gave Schoen an F grade by the way. #Giants

@spyder733 If it’s 25 mil, I’m all in. Played injured for half the season last year and down year. Negotiate the play from a year before and new scheme change, sign slightly more, not overpaying in the 28-30 mil range

@TheRealFyre You want to pay him after he showed up out of shape and had the worst season of his career. He deserves that F as much as Schoen.

@TheRealFyre Dex has 2 years left on his contract. He was pissed about it last year as well. With 3 years left on it. A contract nobody forced him to sign and he decided to half as it last year on top of it.

@DDuggan21 Dan, what are we looking at realistically compensation wise for him giving he had a down year? Do we even think teams view him as 2x 1sts? Hate to see him go, but if he doesn’t want to be here, we might as well ship while there’s demand.

It has been obvious for a long time that this relationship was coming to a crossroads. Have to hope Schoen was just playing dumb at the combine when he was incredulous about all of our questions about Dex's future

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday. Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

At pick 37, I predict the #Giants to go WR Chris Brazzell II. Outside perimeter WR, red zone threat - type Harbough likes. Dart also has familiarity targeting bigger frame WRs: London, Mingo, Harris, etc Would prefer OG at this selection, but WR at five seems unlikely.

The #Giants were in on RB day one of the free agency period. Now that the dust has settled, they could be looking for an RB with upside. Najee Harris is still available and a one year deal to compete for RB2 responsibilities could be on the table.

Free-agent DT Christian Wilkins fully intends to play this season, but still is rehabbing his foot injury, per his agent David Mulugheta. So far 26 teams have reached out and are waiting for Wilkins to be ready, and Wilkins is expected to have a new home as soon as he wants.

The #Giants are pretty much done with FA, but CB Trevon Diggs is still out there… Hard to imagine they’d double dip after the Greg Newsome signing, but at this point, upside is there on a cheaper deal.

OL Josh Ezeudu is re-signing with the Giants on a one-year deal, per source. A third-round pick he also gets a clean slate and chance under new coach John Harbaugh.

Seems like they’re in a holding pattern waiting on prices to come down. Guard market has been pretty stagnant. Wonder if that AVT contract has other guards looking for more. Saw some DTs cash in strong deals today. There is value to be found at both spots. Need to be patient
