Seattle (run now by a "democratic socialist") didn't solve homelessness but the evil corporation, Amazon, run by a billionaire, did.

It provides a free-of-charge home for 300 men, women and children, who in addition to a clean bed and a warm bath have access to fully-equipped kitchens, a health clinic, and a prayer chapel. Seattle has 780,000 people and 17,000 homeless. That is a rate of 2,179 per 100,000 or about 2.1% of people in that city are homeless.
In Minneapolis, population 429,000, there are 3,000 homeless. The rate is 699 per 100,000 or about 0.69% of people are homeless.
The rate of homelessness is more than double in Seattle. What is it about the West Coast that is so different?

Just finally finished the Piketty Capital book and at the end he advocates for immigration as a way to enact global wealth redistribution. Struck at how far the Overton window has shifted. In many circles, this was considered serious centrist economics in 2013.

Iran recently said to the American negotiating team that they have enough material for 11 nuclear bombs. That was the starting point for the negotiation. I guess your wonderful Obama failed to stop them from getting that.
