I hate these games and would rather play sword/shield 50 times than this generation.
the ONLY good thing this generation did was online multiplayer and mega evolution.
These were the only pokemon games I actually didn't like playing through when they first came out.

go play red/blue, as a adult you'd realize just how messy and bad those games are.
my favorite evolution line is magnemite but even i can't defend that THREE different evolution lines in gen 1 are just "add one more head"

Johto had so many problems that it's not even funny, boiling it down to 'no larvitar' is nuts.
Horrible level curve, non-existent story, lack of good johto-mons.
