I actually finished a game in the same year it was released! Phonopolis by @Amanita_Design on steamdeck. Another great adventure game with some tough puzzles. Looks and sounds amazing, as all Amanita's games do. #backlog2026

@Berserkerzoid Probably Chelnov/Atomic Runner. Its one of my two favourite games, but that one was local to me, so had more of my money. In the arcades on holiday, I spread my money over lots of games, so I could play more.

I only ended up with 15700 for Speed Rumbler before the deadline. It was starting to click but unfortunately I had to put all my practice time into Donkey Kong for the Kong Off. Back to playing different games now. #10pScore

Putting in some practice for the Kong Off in May. Eldest has joined me. Lots of silly mistakes and not improves my score yet.

@sincespacies @gamesyouloved The Midway is buttons, that one looks like it's been modded for joystick and two buttons either side. Mine still has buttons but needs a board repair and some art love.

@gamesyouloved ...except i distinctly remember the Spacies cab that i first played did not have a joystick. It used buttons only.

@gamesyouloved My dad holding me up to play one of these at a pub in Bridlington. He then later bought an Atari 2600 and we played that. I still have it and some of the games. The joystick is broken from too many Decathlon matches though!

Adventures in Arcade Monitor Repair. 1. Monitor went down, started investigating. 2. Bad trace in power line, fixed. 3. Bad HOT found, replaced. 4. Open resistor found next to flyback, replaced. Everything then seemed to work until the flyback started arcing 😤 New one ordered!
