Very relieved everyone is safe in DC tonight. The WHCD has hosted presidents for decades. This is one of the most well-secured and well-known (to law enforcement) places in Washington. How anyone could get close to this event with a weapon is almost inconceivable.

I know the details were mixed up but I see nothing wrong here. They have a job to do and they weren’t physical with her. She probably answered a few questions and went on her way. I had a similar thing happen to me when I was 20 yrs old. I was bowling with 2 buddies who were both 21 and could drink. They bought me some beers and I left them in the car. From time to time I would grab my buddy’s camouflage jacket (cuz his car keys were in it) and go outside and sneak a beer and go back in. At some point during the night somebody at the ATM at the bank next door was robbed. I matched the description of the guy and he also had a camo jacket on lol. I didn’t know any of this had happened. I went outside again to chug a beer real quick, and the cops stopped me. They asked what I was doing going in and out. I was honest and showed them the beer and empty cans. They let me go back inside and they eventually left. An hour later they came back and searched the car, searched me again, and looked at the soles of my shoes for shoe prints. I was completely ruled out and I went on about my night. The moral of the story is I cooperated and I realized they had job to do. Now this was 26 yrs ago and times have changed but at no point did I ever think about suing anybody lol. I never felt like I treated unfairly or harassed even though I was questioned and searched multiple times. When a crime is committed, they have to be able to gather info, and if detaining you makes them safer, I see no problem. Be respectful (or not), do what you’re asked, and 9.9/10 it’ll go smoothly and you’ll be on your way.

The car Fulshear PD was searching for was a different vehicle type, with a suspect of a different race and different gender. Despite that, she was still detained. She was not physically harmed, but says the mental impact was significant. She wrote: “I have a clean record.
