Sometimes I see a pedestrian jaywalk across a busy road and think, "that was a brave crossing in the path of Shai-Hulud."

i just learned that the chicago L, the nation's 3rd-biggest metro system, has only one station (lake, on the red line) with a higher number of daily average boardings than link in seattle's highest-ridership station (westlake, on the 1 line), and its only by about 300!

This is a positive development. When we were coming in from the airport a few weeks ago and got off here to get the 49, we saw no less than 3 people jump the gates in the ~30 seconds it took me to get my phone Clipper card to work correctly.

🔵🟡🐻ATTENTION CAL FANS!!🐻🟡🔵 Please see below for directions to the University of Pittsburg! If you’re going from Berkeley, you’re gonna want to take the @SFBART southbound Red/Orange line to MacArthur, transfer there, then take the Northbound Yellow line all the way to Pittsburg. Fare should be about $5-6. Plan accordingly! We don’t know much about Pittsburg just yet, but we’ll be looking into them shortly… as soon as we find them anyway… who knew there was such a storied ACC rival so close to home! Cant wait to play them!

@nebula3lem123 right but they didn't have to tear down the freaking self serve thing to build them, they just destroyed it for no reason

@nebula3lem123 This was before your time but they also had a self serve area across the hallway that they shut down to 'build the new bathrooms' but they didn't use any of the space from it to build the bathrooms. Why are they just making the library worse for no reason?
