@parkerflash This made me laugh. 🤣 But on a serious note, are people not following 2 attempts rule anymore? I have never stabbed one patient more than twice. Or is two stabs per clinician on the ward before you call for the real guys?

The call: “Hello Anaesthetics? Could we ask for you to help with a cannula? We’ve tried loads of times but just can’t get it?” The patient:

I call the switch board. By the time they pick up, I have forgotten I called them and not responding to a bleep. They pick up. I start with “Hi, this is Rheumatology, someone bleeped” 😂

4 years of Covid pandemic and virtual meetings being a norm. Still not willing to accept using the camera unless absolutely necessary. Please don’t ask me to use the webcam you arranged for the office.

We are all on a journey. We may not take the same course and rate of progress but we are all progressing. Trust the process!

Everyday thankful for the specialty I chose. And for the people I have to work with. Your outside work life is 10x more enjoyable if your work life is good.

@worldartira @gunsnrosesgirl3 I am a medical doctor but not a respiratory specialist. I have done chest drains in simulation lab multiple times but never managed to do one on a real patient. Would you volunteer for me to put in a chest drain if/when you need one since simulation training counts?
