@glowforge I do an emjoi check in at the start of class to see how students are feeling. We also practice mindful moments at the start of class using different breathing and stretching techniques

@glowforge I think students should be ready to use AI. This is cutting edge and students should embrace it and not fear it. We should explore the pro and con of AI tools.

@glowforge A skill of having a growth mind. Students should learn to be resilient and always have a desire to grow. It's not about being perfect but it's about making progress.

@glowforge I would take my students and visit local smaller companies compared to Google, Microsoft and Amazon. I think it's beneficial to visit some of the bigger and smaller companies.

@glowforge Students need exposure to career options so that they can help refine their future goals and envison how they can specialize in a skill set.

@glowforge Learning should be led by the students passion and interests. Also the things we learn are meaningful, impactful and purposeful. We consider the "why", "what" and "how". I also encourage my students to aim for the moon, because if you miss, you can land amongst the stars.

@glowforge We use the glowforge in our makerspace. Since we have a small class, its easy for students to walk up to the glowforge and laser cut anything they want. We also use recycled wood and scrap from the local hardware store. It helps reduce our costs. #GlowforgeEDU

@glowforge Doing fun team building activities at the start is a great idea to get a new group of students team up. I love the marshmallow challenge, also, if you can schedule a field trip to do an escape room together is fun.

Question 1: Story time! What’s your favorite “aha moment” you’ve ever had with a student? #GlowforgeEDU #Education

@glowforge During the height of covid with global shortages on ventilators, I challenged my students to prototype a portable ventilator using recycled items from our robot. We wanted to show thousands of other robotic teams that they can build one. Don't underestimate the youth.

@glowforge Students should be mentoring other students. The meetings are student led. It's amazing to see they are excited about ownership of their learning
