Year 9 attended a session with an Animal Aid speaker, raising awareness of animal treatment in society. Students learned how animals experience suffering, often used in testing for household products and medicine. This aligns with the RE and PSHE curriculum.

A proud day today as students joined other local school pupils and members of the public for Armistice Day at Thurmaston's War Memorial. In school student's paid their respects with a silence while Mrs Lewis - Thomas played the last post for all to hear.

Last week our Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh students went to Bradgate Park for thier first hike. A great effort from all involved!

A huge congratulations to our highest scoring tutor groups! Students from each tutor group that have the highest positive points were treated to a breakfast this morning!

Last night our wonderful students took part in a celebration of Diwali with a performance, chat show and some fantastic dancing. It was lovely to welcome our parents and community in to celebrate with us.

A touching moment last night as our Head Students laid a wreath at the Menin Gate memorial service. There has been a ceremony here accompanied with the last post here daily since 1928.
