A wonderful and rarely seen family photograph of Queen Elizabeth II with Prince Philip, King Charles III and Princess Anne at Balmoral Castle. Balmoral was always said to be the late Queen’s favourite residence, where she could escape royal formality and enjoy the simple pleasures of country life, from walking the hills and riding horses to family picnics and barbecues in the Scottish Highlands. #TheQueen #Royal

Here is a fun and unusual image of Queen Elizabeth II in a hard hat and white overalls during a visit to the Silverwood Colliery in Yorkshire in 1975. The late Queen, accompanied by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, toured the coal mine to mark its centenary celebrations and even descended around 600 yards underground to visit the coalface itself. To reach certain areas, both Her Majesty and Prince Philip reportedly had to stoop through the narrow tunnels certainly one of the most extraordinary and unexpected royal engagements of her reign. #thequeen #royal #visit

Ladies and Gentlemen, Queen Elizabeth II may have looked polite and graceful… but this photograph reminds us she was certainly not a Monarch to be messed with. 👑😂 Here, Her Majesty is visiting British troops during a military demonstration, where she was shown how to operate a mounted machine gun in the pouring rain proving that even behind the pearls and handbags was a Queen with real wartime experience and a strong connection to the Armed Forces. #thequeen #royal #uk

Did you know that Queen Mary became famous for quietly “acquiring” items she admired while visiting grand homes and country estates? Her love of antiques and royal history was so well known that aristocratic families reportedly hid treasured objects before her visits, fearing that if the Queen complimented something too enthusiastically, they would feel obliged to gift it to her for the Royal Collection. 👑 #queen #royal

✨ Despite being one of the most photographed women in the world, Diana often preferred simple, quiet moments away from royal life. She loved visiting ordinary cafés, listening to music, and personally taking Prince William and Prince Harry to places like theme parks and fast-food restaurants so they could experience a “normal” childhood. #PrincessDiana #Royal #Princess

Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret at Glamis Castle in the 1930s. Glamis Castle was the cherished childhood home of their mother, later Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and the seat of their grandparents, the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne. The young princesses spent many happy days there during their childhood, enjoying the freedom of the Scottish countryside far from the formalities of royal life. This charming photograph captures a rare and intimate moment of the future Queen Elizabeth II alongside her sister Princess Margaret in the grounds of one of Scotland’s most historic castles, a place deeply connected to their family history and treasured royal memories. #TheQueen #Royal

Queen Elizabeth II opened Parliament almost every year of her 70-year reign, missing the ceremony only three times. 🇬🇧 Here Her Majesty is seen at the magnificent State Opening of Parliament one of Britain’s oldest and most iconic royal traditions. Wearing the Imperial State Crown and delivering the Queen’s Speech in the House of Lords, the ceremony perfectly showcased the pageantry, history, and constitutional role of the British monarchy. #thequeen #royal #parliament

Edward VIII made history in 1936 when he became the first British monarch to voluntarily give up the throne. After less than a year as King, Edward chose to abdicate so he could marry the American divorcée Wallis Simpson, a decision that shocked both the Royal Family and the nation. His famous declaration that he could not carry out his duties “without the help and support of the woman I love” remains one of the most extraordinary moments in royal history, forever changing the course of the monarchy. 👑❤️ #theking #royal

💍 A Royal Love Story at Balmoral Did you know that Balmoral Castle holds a very special place in royal romance? It was here in the Scottish Highlands during the summer of 1946 that Prince Philip proposed to Princess Elizabeth. The couple were so enchanted by this beautiful estate that they returned for their honeymoon in November 1947, beginning a lifelong love affair with this private royal sanctuary. From proposal to honeymoon, Balmoral witnessed the start of a marriage that would last over 73 year. #queenelizabeth #princephilip #royal #scotland

“Darling, Princess Margaret never entered a room… she arrived. With elegance, confidence, and just enough mischief to ensure all eyes were upon her. In many ways, she was the original royal rebel, glamorous, witty, and entirely unforgettable.” 👑✨ #princessmargaret #thequeen👑 #royal
