I’m definitely in the minority here but the Rockets are easy championship contenders this season if Fred VanVleet is playing and they’ll be easy championship contenders next season when he is back. Not expecting KD to get worse and the young core should continue to improve. It’s the boring answer (and I get why many people won’t like it), but I think they’ll be fine. Regardless, the most important thing for this team was always going to be the young cores development. If they show the improvement they’re supposed to they should be in contention for a ring soon.
