Idk man, the supposed plagiarism looks like two different papers distilling terms, variables, and methods in similar ways, most often with the citation.
Given the source of the accusations, seems more like an obvious attempt at a hit job than actual plagiarism.

@TheScottBenson I was so lucky my first job was at a site without titmice, between their pecking and that unreal high-pitched screech they make I always dread catching them

During my first field season I caught a juvenile Black-capped Chickadee in a net. It had rolled over and over, took me ages to careful extract it from the net. I was so defeated as it pecked me over and over.
