@fc_mossman But the entire team has dropped off, his drop could (hopefully) coincide with that rather than his own ability. I'm just praying it's fixed for next year 😂🤞🏻

@TheSecondBallFC I think pretty he’s obviously a step slower, but it’s more manageable as a defender than as an attacker just due to the nature of the position. The drop off manifests itself in inconsistency, rather than just a clean performance level decline match in match out.

Rewind your brain 12 months and many Liverpool fans were extremely vocal about how bad a job Michael Edwards was doing to not have Salah and Van Dijk’s contract situation sorted out. Now they’ve fallen off the age cliff. Not that Liverpool can/should have done things way differently, it’s just a cautionary example of squad building with a reliance on age. It can happen quick, it can happen to the best, and the downsides are magnified in the evermore physical English game.

@Melavin @fc_mossman But you don't just stop knowing how to defend, with defenders you usually see their athletic ability diminish which doesn't allow them to compete at the top level. I'd be interested to see how he matches up statistically this year compared to others

A tanking today and a tanking against PSG could seal Slot's future...if it doesn't the board need to be questioned!

@DougieCritchley Greenwood and his Mrs are together and have started a family. Why would De Zerbi condemn his own player for something he did years ago when he's clearly moved past it? That would be poor management. These supporter trusts are politically correct and they don't represent all fans

A pretty easy game for City. Arsenal stunk the gaff out, they're still going to win the league...unless this is the catalyst for City's revival 👀

Liverpool in 2026: Played 20 Won - 10 Drawn - 5 Lost - 5 We're into the business end of the season and the football still hasn't improved and dare I say we even look worse in some cases!

@DaveOCKOP Toothless in attack, fragile in defence and to top it off we lack any confidence at the minute. We're everybody's dream opponent!

Not pressing or adding energy to a game until we desperately need a goal is simply disrespectful. Why does it take the opponents to equalize before we even decide to up the tempo? It's not good enough. We are the ones dictating the tempo and constantly slowing the game down in possession. Giving the opposition time to reform their shape and gather their energy. We are simply not up for the battle at the moment. We are shying away from intensity.

@AnfieldWatch If he knew he had the backing of a manager his game would elevate to another level but he's constantly in and out of the team and never finds a rhythm. He'll have a decent run and as soon as he plays bad, he's dropped. He also needs to stop holding onto the ball for too long!

Curtis Jones is Liverpool's most underrated player right now. Discuss...🤔

@Eljayem93 @DaveOCKOP I don't get the point of the OP 😂 talking about combined net worth as if they're all personal investors. James invested years ago and hit the Jackpot, he's not involved in the running/finance of the club so why's he being included in this like he is?

According to the 2026 edition of the Forbes Billionaires List, John Henry has seen his net worth go up by $200m (£150m) to $5.7bn (£4.2bn). James’ climbed by $100m (£75m) to $1.4bn (£1bn) whilst Werner has stayed the same at $2bn (£1.5bn), resulting in a combined net worth just shy of £7bn between the trio.

@Eljayem93 @DaveOCKOP Lebron's 1% stake in FSG has no impact on Liverpool's future. RedBird capital has an 11% stake in FSG yet they're not mentioned

There have been 18 0-0 draws in the Premier League this season. 98/99 & 08/09 hold the joint record of 21 goalless draws and with 87 games left to play, the current season is trending to overtake the others. Are teams now better defensively? Is this good for the premier league?

🥈 | @SportsPeteO: Although Liverpool will be busy on the transfer front in the summer, with Jeremy Jacquet set to come in and Giovanni Leoni back fit, the club are not thought to view a centre-back signing as a top priority ahead of next season.

@WilsonCoxLFC Jones is a local lad and HG. HG players are vitally important to European registration rules so it would make 0 sense to lose him, especially since Kelleher and Elliot have left he's the only Academy player we have left!

#LFC 🔴 🚨 As exclusively revealed Curtis Jones had a bust-up with Arne Slot after the Bournemouth game, resulting in reduced game time and stalled contract talks. If Slot stays next season, Jones is likely to move on, with plenty of interest from other clubs. - Ibrahima Konaté is in talks to join Real Madrid this summer. Some believe he will move there, with Liverpool already signing Jérémy Jacquet and potentially another defender as his replacement. - Ryan Gravenberch is regarded as a world-class midfielder. Liverpool are delighted to have secured him on a long-term deal, fending off Real Madrid interest. - Alexis Mac Allister's contract talks have slowed because his father wants a release clause included. Liverpool refuse to add release clauses to any player deals. Still could stay but little details need to be sorted. - Dominik Szoboszlai wants to play for Real Madrid at some point in his career but will not force a transfer. Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign him to a new long-term contract soon.

@NotoriousLFC And that's why you're not in charge. Can keep Grav and easily push him forward and still sign a specialist 👍🏼
