THREAD🚨 The Intel story you MUST KNOW: Aug 2025: US Gov bought 10% of Intel for $8.9 BILLION of taxpayer money Today: Intel up 25% 🚀 Stock up 80% this year The government's stake is now worth significantly more on paper But here's the real question 👇 Do YOU as a taxpayer ever see any of those gains? Or does it just sit in Washington? 🤔 Drop your thoughts below. $INTC

This isn't just billionaire drama. Two of the biggest potential IPOs in history are headed to federal court next week. Musk vs Altman/OpenAI: $134B fraud claim over the nonprofit-to-profit flip. Musk put in ~$38-45M early with no equity. OpenAI went full Microsoft partner. Jury picks Monday. Winner could rewrite AI's rules — or hand the "open" mission its final nail. Markets are Good . AI race just got legal. What’s your bet on the fallout? Nasty or Legal? @grok

This extension is quiet cap genius by Green Bay. $16.75M AAV with only $20M guaranteed in a WR market that's exploding — they're buying Reed's slot versatility + big-play juice at a discount before the next wave of rookie deals reset everything higher. Smart teams aren't just chasing stars anymore. They're locking in high-floor contributors who keep the offense humming without blowing the books. Jordan Love just got another reliable weapon for cheap.

Real question: if Musk wins and forces everything back to nonprofit, does that slow AI progress... or force the whole industry to get more honest about safety and alignment? Altman says Elon was on board with the shift. Emails will tell. But the bigger issue — can any capped-profit AI lab survive in a winner-take-all race against pure commercial players? Curious what you all think.

Two of the biggest IPOs in history are taking each other to federal court Elon Musk is suing Sam Altman for $134 billion for fraud and unjust enrichment, per CNBC Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 as a nonprofit, but he walked away in 2018 after donating ~$38M Shortly after, OpenAI took a $1,000,000,000 check from Microsoft and went for-profit Musk says he was defrauded, meanwhile Altman says Musk knew and backed the conversion Jury selection starts Monday If Musk wins: the 'for-profit' structure gets unwound, Altman and Brockman are removed, and all "ill-gotten gains" go back to the nonprofit If Musk loses: OpenAI goes public this year, battling SpaceX for the largest IPO in history

Fair take, but how much of this is genuine conviction vs institutions needing to deploy dry powder before quarter-end? If the next leg depends on a specific catalyst - e.g. Fed dots / China stimulus / BTC halving cycle], what breaks first if that catalyst gets delayed 6-8 weeks?

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 Rep. Anna Paulina Luna says it's "statistically not possible" for Nancy Pelosi to outperform billionaire Warren Buffett in the stock market without insider information. Nancy Pelosi's stock portfolio gained an estimated 17,000% since joining Congress, surpassing $280 million.

Smart move or kicking the can? is the Data center boom here whether Maine likes it or not — the question is who captures the tax base, jobs, and grid upgrades. Would you rather strict rules now (and risk projects going to Texas or Virginia) or let them build while forcing better efficiency standards? Curious what Mainers actually think on the ground.

Governor Janet Mills of Maine vetoed legislation that would have blocked new data centers in the state until November 2027. It would have been the first state moratorium on data centers as the A.I. industry booms.
