As a Venezuelan-American, the struggle for freedom in Cuba isn’t abstract to me. It’s personal. Our communities share the same story of exile, resilience, and hope for democracy. The Cuban people deserve real freedom, and the island’s future should be decided by the Cuban people and the diaspora — not by dictators or political theater. I stand with the Cuban community in this shared struggle.

@HectorMujicaFL @SunSentinel This is trash and your policies are trash. Real regulation of harmful deployments of AI are needed, not funding ineffective job training programs.

Published an op-ed today on the @SunSentinel outlining the critical need to create a FEMA-style response to AI job disruption. This system would: 1. Provide early warning when industries begin to shift; 2. Fund rapid-response training tied directly to real jobs, with paid apprenticeships and partnerships with employers, community colleges and unions; 3. Provide temporary income stability during transition, and ensure workers can carry their skills, credentials and benefits with them as they move into new careers. That means strengthening and modernizing unemployment insurance for the realities of the 21st century, including wage insurance and temporary income support so workers can remain financially secure while they retrain and move into new roles. Read the complete op-ed on the @SunSentinel. sun-sentinel.com/2026/03/24/ame…

Venezuela's torture chief is now Venezuela’s Defense Minister. And the U.S. is recognizing the government that put him there. @marcorubio @SenAshleyMoody @SenRickScott, this is on you. You don’t get to talk tough on dictators while enabling them in real time.

We shouldn’t be leaving millions of Americans to deal with AI taking their jobs on their own. In my interview with Katie Phang, I talked about what real solutions look like—advance notice, paid training tied to new jobs, and income stability during the transition. AI needs guardrails that are actually anchored in benefiting the American people.

They say the economy is “strong.” Families feel something else. 📉 108,000+ layoffs in January — a 17-year high 📈 Up 200% from December That’s not strength. That’s uncertainty. I’m running because Florida deserves honesty — and leadership that puts workers first.

Today, my views were featured in the Tampa Bay Times on the urgent need for the Senate to use spending controls to rein in Homeland Security. Smart oversight and responsible governance aren’t optional—they’re essential. The killings of U.S. citizens and immigrants at the hands of federal agents demand more than condolences—they demand enforceable standards. That’s why I would vote against unchecked DHS funding until real accountability is in place.

While journalists, protesters, and immigrants are being intimidated and detained, too many powerful men tied to the Epstein files—including some still influential in our government—remain largely untouched. What kind of country are we becoming? Our leaders should never orbit someone as dangerous as Jeffrey Epstein. Public office isn’t a shield. If you’re tied to that world, you shouldn’t hold power. nytimes.com/live/2026/01/3…

@StephenM Haitian Americans are neighbors, workers, parents, and small business owners. In South Florida, the Haitian community is part of our soul and our success. Dehumanizing people doesn’t make a nation stronger... it makes it smaller.

@HectorMujicaFL You can't make a simple statement without both sidesing. Drop out of the race you centrist clown. The problem with the shooting isn't the messaging/tone and we can't fix it with a better press release. Post a policy position like "abolish ice" or "remove qualified immunity"!

What happened in Minneapolis wasn’t “inevitable.” It was a failure. Renee Nicole Good was an American and a mother to a 6-year-old. As a father, my heart breaks for that child. When leaders normalize hateful, dehumanizing rhetoric, violence becomes easier to justify. Moody’s attempt to shift blame to the victim is wrong. We can protect officers, uphold the law, and still insist on restraint, dignity, and accountability.
Senator Ashley Moody@SenAshleyMoody

Today’s tragic incident in Minneapolis was sadly inevitable. Radical politicians have spent years vilifying law enforcement and inflaming hostility toward officers doing their jobs. Assaults on police are up 1,300%, and death threats up 8,000%. This dangerous rhetoric puts lives at risk—which is exactly why I introduced the HALO Act, to give officers the buffer zone they need to keep everyone and their communities safe.

@HectorMujicaFL @StephenM we have gone to war to uphold America's principles and values too many times. It's not good when we bomb Tehran and it's not good when we bomb Caracus just because we do it for our "values". Stephen Miller is more correct than you are.

Here is @StephenM with your classic, playground bully energy. If the world is only governed by force, then America stands for nothing. That’s not strength — that’s surrendering our values.

@HectorMujicaFL María Corina Machado was not the elected leader. The "Domino Effect" is a Cold War idea we used to invade Vietnam (which I expect you would support today in a similar same double talk video).

@HectorMujicaFL You are spreading misinformation. Maduro is not a drug lord. This is clear to everyone but ruthless oil seeking war mongers. As a Democratic senator you should be fighting authoritarian dictators here in america, not cheering on the colonial take over of your own home country.

My 86-year-old grandmother marched in Doral this weekend with hope in her eyes. Maduro facing justice for being a cruel crime lord matters. Democracy in Venezuela matters. But risking American lives without a plan, bypassing Congress, and drifting toward another forever conflict is not “America First.” @AshleyMoodyFL owes Floridians answers: what’s the plan, what’s the cost, and where are the limits?

The military precision on display in the early morning hours was nothing short of extraordinary, exactly what we have come to expect from the finest fighting force the world has ever known. While neocons of the past would have burned decades, trillions of dollars, and countless innocent lives chasing failure, President Trump, alongside our military and U.S. law enforcement professionals, delivered decisive action with speed, discipline, and clarity of purpose. Under Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela ceased to function as a legitimate nation-state. It became a narco-terrorist enterprise, exporting corruption, violence, and instability across the hemisphere while serving as a willing proxy for hostile powers like China and Iran. That reality could no longer be ignored. President Trump sent an unmistakable message to every would-be adversary of the United States: if you harm America, we will find you, and justice will NOT be optional. The free nations of the Americas must reclaim their sovereignty and put an end to cartel-backed, left-wing socialism once and for all. The radical left have already rushed to defend America’s enemies, wringing their hands for tyrants while showing endless contempt for American values. One can already predict the activists in black robes insisting that we undo what courage and resolve achieved. But here is the truth: Americans sleep safely because the very best among us stand watch, quiet professionals who go where others will not, and do what others cannot. And Americans are safer today because we have a President willing to act, not posture. This was leadership. This was resolve. This was a masterstroke of the Trump Presidency. Bravo, Mr. President.

Maduro was and is a crook. He is a narcoterrorist who facilitated the deaths of thousands of Americans. He will receive more due process than the children who lost their lives to fentanyl and other deadly drugs. Any ousting of an illegitimate regime is a serious decision by any administration, and this one will now reside where it belongs: with the people of Venezuela. I hope this action sends a clear message that killing thousands of Americans through fentanyl will have legal and lethal consequences.
