You get a personal cheese pizza for every beer you buy at the greatest bar I've been to in Brooklyn. $1 per additional topping but the cheese itself hits the spot.
Sporting KC have mentally returned to being an MLS team playing in a minor league ballpark, but you could at least sit on a blanket on the grass berm in the past.
@kcfannn3 My expectations are a half-assed reno of CC which doesn't really help with the downturn of retail sales. They'll push the family friendly aspect, why they're tying the TIF plan for the Royals into the aquarium & Lego Store there as well. Suburban slop within city limits.
@TheSmokingPun Yes not even close to enough room for a battery. They’d need all of crown center and have to tear down a few towers to make room for that.
Really interested to see what they come up with
Last thoughts: happy for baseball downtown, hate hate hate the stadium location & still not certain it'll actually shake out that way, I'm ready to be underwhelmed tremendously.
This won't save Crown Center, this won't reconnect the city. It's basically a push, I feel nothing.
@kcfannn3 If they actually cared or wanted to try at all, they'd probably easily win a vote with a fair deal in the EV or 18th & Vine but they think getting the taxpayer to renovate Crown Center for them is their answer to the ATL Battery the Shermans are OBSESSED with.
@kcfannn3 They took the undemocratic way out because they refused to look within to see why the last vote failed. Defeated on the back of a lackluster pathetic attempt from a Chiefs team that was already in secret talks with KS & the Royals edited the plan the night before the election.
