Dream big little fish. But know they will try their might to crush your fins. It is up to you to push back against their fists and make the change you see fit.

Midnight in Kyiv. Today, the power outage lasted 18 hours straight. I’m sitting through the last hour of electricity (we usually get four). So many crazy things are happening in the world now. People should protect peace, not start wars.

Tip toe we hear the footsteps tap Rattle tattle across the floor in the depths of night we hear them stamp out voices to a timid murmur from a raging roar What becomes of the heart when it beats no more?

The absurdity of #Kafka reads like a fluffy fairytale next to the chaos, hatred and corruption of @Trump and co.

I’m sick of staying silent to appease the brainwashed masses. I respect and admire Elon Musk and think he’s done an amazing job preserving our 1st amendment rights. You all should be thankful af for him. P.S. I voted for Trump 3 times and idgaf who knows!🇺🇸

Stayed in a seedy little hotel last night a long, long way from home. Getting a cheap room seemed like a sensible option at the time. Boy, was that a mistake! Couple in room next door rolled up with a takeaway at 10.30pm. Wall so thin I could hear EVERYTHING. After dinner, they had sex twice, took drugs, then hosted an online gambling event until 6.45am, very, very noisily. The telly was on throughout at full volume, even when they went outside for a fag. The guy was 35, the girl sounded considerably younger. He sounded like a complete fool, she had a laugh like a braying donkey. Their conversation was insubstantial but colourful, to say the least. 'Effin' this, effin' that' etc. He was frustrated by having to live with his mother, she was a single parent whose nan saw her posting about this debauchery on social media at 5am and demanded of the young woman's mother 'WHERE IS YOUR DAUGHTER?' (Her chief beef with this was: 'Why is my bleedin' nan online at 5am?') I now know the full history of their on-off relationship and some of the backstory of both families, as I barely slept a wink and every word was clearly audible. Interestingly, they were both named 'Babe'. I nearly left the hotel several times, just to escape the noise, but I was exhausted after a difficult day, the night was freezing, and by the time I'd realised they were simply NEVER going to shut up, it was far too late to seek alternative accommodation. They had great fun and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. I, on the other hand, had to restrain myself from hammering on the wall, in case things turned violent. Nobody from reception bothered to remonstrate with them. I had roughly two hours of sleep once they'd finally turned off their devices and the light by 7am. Then I had to get up and drive 6 hours back to Cornwall, surviving on chocolate and strong coffee. I'm going to put them both in a novel at some point and give them a suitably grisly end. 🙄

6:35 pm in #Kyiv It is so beautiful city. I walked a lot today. The weather was pleasant and warm. Someone said: - The days are warm, but the night are cold already. Autumn. But mainly all the talks were about the night attack. Coffee, coffee, coffee… was heard here and there. I walked and walked. My eyes were grateful. It is so beautiful city. Kyiv.

8:02 pm in #Kyiv I really wonder how many of you really are here. Of course, I see some of you regularly and appreciate your greetings, pictures, and kindness. Also, I know that some of you are silent, but here too. So let me know by like or reply. It would be great to see you. The picture is from my today's walk to the river (Dnipro). I went there for some beauty.
