The celebration concluded with a special performance of “The Prayer,” featuring Camille Skye and neighbor Yorge Lopez on vocals, accompanied by Andrew Packard on piano and neighbor Juana Diaz on cello — a beautiful reflection of one community united in neighborly love.

One of the most powerful moments came from graduate Ruth Rodriguez, who shared how The Storehouse became “a home where we can be ourselves without fear of mistakes.” What began as a search for food became a journey of education, confidence, and community.💙

One week ago today, 257 participants from 16 countries gathered for The Storehouse’s Spring 2026 Academy Graduation — a celebration of resilience, joy, and community! 💙 11 students completed all levels of ESL, while 16 participants earned their Work Well Certification.

On Sunday, April 26, we honored Denny Mosseller as our 2026 Volunteer of the Year at our Annual Volunteer Celebration ⚾️ For 10 years, Denny has served our neighbors with humility, consistency, and care—from the pantry to the classroom. Thank you, Denny 💙

4/25 marked the final day of our first Language Lab. Designed for ESL grads and advanced students, this class paired students with volunteers to practice conversation, refine pronunciation, and build confidence. Thanks to our facilitators Joan, Nancy, and all our volunteers!

Advanced ESL Class 104 hosted another mock “Shark Tank” this past weekend. 🦈 13 students formed 5 teams and presented business ideas—each receiving an "investment" from our volunteer sharks. Well done, students! And thank you, sharks! #SharkTank #ESL #TheAcademy
