Tarpey, who was declared the winner of the competition earlier this year, has denied the allegations and has vowed to cooperate with the investigation. It is rumoured that if he is found guilty of these violations, Tarpey may face a ban from future.

The organisers of TTCC have launched an investigation into R. Tarpey after receiving reports that the current champion may have violated the laws of the trophy. It is possible that R. Tarpey, could be stripped of the trophy if found guilty.

- Another muted “it's disheartening to hear that he won't be taking part in it. I hope he has a good reason for it.”

- A further competitor said “I can't help but feel disappointed that Richard didn't follow through with the challenge. It's a missed opportunity for him to show his skills and determination”
