Matcha is a tea ceremony only thing in Japan. It just got hyped the f-up and lost its cultural significance. Also Japan ki blueberry cream cheese sandwich BANGS! Don’t remember from where incase someone is wondering kaha milegi but trust me it BANGS.

I discovered matcha through its cultural background and Japanese tea ceremony. But most people in the West now discover it as a commodity, totally removed from its cultural context. But is matcha just a commodity? And what will the effect be of seeing it as such on tea ceremony?
