@Steve_Parrett @balders2 Surprised your elves don’t employ this tactic already?
English

@balders2 Impressive. I’ll pass this on to my staff for their Christmas shop next year.

Bloody Peruvians; coming over here, taking all our flag raising jobs.

@LeonRice861481 It’s a spring tide Leon, the levels go up then and the lagoon needs it.
English

@LeonRice861481 Wow, it was spring tides Leon, that means the lagoon fills.
As I’ve offered before when you’ve offered comment which is technically incorrect, introduce yourself and I’ll show you how this system works.
English

At last he has lowered the water levels at seaton wetlands and hey presto small waders are coming in. Dunlin and redshanks but star birds were these 2 adult Curlew sandpipers. Thanks Steve for the find and info. #UKBirding #Devonbirds.

@AxeBirder We’ve had a fantastic year for them on Trinity Hill, but it doesn’t beat a churr in the garden!

@CRTWalesandSW This is entirely the wrong time of year for hedge laying. Good intentions don’t make this activity any less imbecilic.
English

Our #volunteers have been hedge laying near Talybont on Usk on the #Monmouthshire & #Brecon Canal. They cut hedgerow stems and bend them so that over time they grow horizontally and intertwine, forming a thick, bushy barrier that's brilliant for #wildlife. #FridayMotivation

English

@AxeBirder We had a four spot chaser at trinity hill egging last week. Perilously small pool, too!
English

@AxeBirder @EcolaEvans @Natures_Voice @_BTO @DevonWildlife @wildeastdevon Awesome, that’s some certainty at least 👍🏻
English

@EcolaEvans @TheTiercel @Natures_Voice @_BTO @DevonWildlife @wildeastdevon No on markings it's the same female. They are quite variable species when it comes to the head and neck patterning so I reckon we'd be able to tell if this was a different bird
English

After a no show Friday, pleased as pinch to see my first UK Black-winged Stilt at Seaton Wetlands, this morning. 😍 Thanks to @AxeBirder for update. @Natures_Voice @_BTO @DevonWildlife @wildeastdevon

English

@EcolaEvans @BigBreakers @mattkvesic I think that might be the colour cast from the dust chamber? Looks good for native for me
English

Presuming a hornet… not just a jacked wasp? Either way, absolutely bloody huge… I know @TheTiercel will have an idea! 🐝

English

@mattkvesic They’re quite passive (if you’ve not sucked them into a hoover) they look ferocious but there’s a certain self confidence in a black and yellow insect that big!
English

@TheTiercel Think I got lucky… had it on full biff and he didn’t budge in Dyson!! Never seen one that big 😳
