This was taken so out context it’s insane. The message was to not buy overpriced decks from scalpers. Now I got 50 online shops pop up overnight ripping my entire store and using this to justify it 🙃

@wizardofbarge @VitoComedy The more popular you get the more inevitable that was going to be, people suck. If you have a legal team, see if they can trace the bootleg shops to owners and you've found the scammers.

@VitoComedy This isn’t even just about the deck. Overnight I’ve had dozens of shops pop up selling cheap versions of all of my merch that I actually pay my bills from, claiming they have my approval

I was able to change my oil for like $20 in the early 2000s, now the Synthetic costs you damn near a $100 for 5 quarts. It’s completely insane.

A Chipotle burrito costs $15. Ground beef is $7 a pound. Inflation is financially crippling Gen Z. Once again, an out-of-touch rich boomer is lecturing young people.

I can guarantee you not a single person that actually wants to buy this deck to play it would be upset waiting 7-8 months for it to be print to demand. We want to play it, not hoard it to artificially inflate the value and turn a profit. Even @wizardofbarge wants more out there!

This MTG Secret Lair drop today has gotten all the attention. Apparently the drop sold out in 30 minutes with a limit of 1 per. Many new buyers left dissatisfied with the experience. Here are some responses. Do you agree with all these reactions? Did you get the drop?

These are literally the best pricing you can buy… The singles card prices are well above what they were asking. They’re just happened to be a bunch of hype around it, secret layer has been this way since the very beginning. There’s only so much printed. This post feels like sour grapes. 🍇 Or you were out of the scene so long you don’t know what’s going on. Sorry you missed out.

Hey @Wizards I was considering getting back into MtG because Commander looks fun, so I thought I’d try to pick up the Goblin Storm Secret Lair because it’s two of my favorite themes. Go home during lunch, load the site at 11:55 EST, get told it will be more than an hour for checkout at noon, try to create an account so maybe I can transfer the wait time to my phone (you can’t and props to not being able to create an account with “gmail” cuz who has heard of them amirite?), take my dog outside cuz I’ve got time to spare apparently, come back and it’s sold out at 12:34 EST. I was in the process of crafting my own deck (Aurelia Warleader), but why should I spend money on WotC if you don’t want it. Thanks for reminding me why I got out of MtG.
