Let me show you what Twitch pays out from having around 500 subs in a pay period.
I mainly stream to be with the community we've built, and of course, to help promote my brand, PowerGPU. I averaged 102 viewers per stream that month.
If this were on Kick, it would be a different story, closer to $2,700 that month. I like to show this to people so they can get an idea of what to expect when trying to make streaming a full-time career.
Again, I stream for different reasons, as I also want to give back to the community. I partner with brands I work with and support the community in that way.

I think people just assume stream to kick equals the same success. It does not. That platform has many problems and i can tell you communities aren't leaving twitch for it. Also there are more ways to make money on twitch then subs!
