@robin_moi The whole point of dodging is you only need for 1 of the procs to succeed to NOT DIE, and you often need your unit to dodge multiple times. You just aren’t told whether your dodge succeeded because of the passive or hipo. I don’t feel like explaining anymore.

Dokkan players, here’s an explanation as to why dodge builds on already dodging characters actually makes a much more impactful difference than you realize: 1-((1-built in% chance) x (1-hidden potential% chance)) For example if a unit has 70% dodge chance in their passive and you give them a build with 30 dodge the cumulative probability would be 1-((1-0.7) x (1-0.3))=0.79 An increase of only 9% may look like just a small bump, but when not dodging means dying, 9 more dodges in every 100 attempts is pretty meaningful. The biggest thing that having higher odds does for you is it lowers the standard deviation that occurs over a large amount of attempts. You need to remember that even RNG has RNG, and that not everyone will be as lucky/unlucky as you when it comes to dodging. Basically when the probability of success is low, the odds that you could be an outlier and get especially unlucky is higher. Standard deviation will always exist, but as the number of trials grows, it lowers (extremely slowly). Like no shit Truth likes dodge builds, he has comically bad luck

Are you being dense on purpose? I gave an example problem and explained that it isn’t as simple as just a 70-79 change. That also holds true for higher odds. Going from 90-92 makes a considerable impact on the standard deviation. You people need to realize that you are still giving your unit an additional 30% dodge chance, it’s just that it is procced separately from the dodge they have in their passive.

@TheVanderBall You're only calculating this in a vaccum tho When we say "don't put more dodge on a dodge unit" it's because you gain more with investing in something else like additionnal atks or Crit. To kill the ennemy faster meaning less attacks to dodge, or stack more def
