@Noxasolx @Sihd @LilyLilac64 Your rephrasing of the hypothetical is incomplete, as it treats the problem as a reframing of the trolley problem, but its not JUST the trolley problem, its also a prisoners dilemma at the same time as a trolley problem. All parties involved MUST make a choice

@LilyLilac64 Let me rephrase the question 500 people are beside a train track and there’s an incoming train, if 100 people jump on the tracks at the exact same time with no time to coordinate the train stops. If less that 100 people do that they all die. Bar anybody without self awareness

@Sihd @LilyLilac64 No, that is incorrect. The condition for blue to die is for a majority of people, with the exception of 100%, to choose red. It is a scenario in which each person makes a choice and therefore each person is responsible for the outcome. You keep attempting to shrug responsibility

@TheVoltiMoth @LilyLilac64 Red isn't forcing people to push the blue button. It's a free choice. There is no fault on the red side. If you choose blue then you are choosing to play a suicidal game. The fault would only be on you if you lost. You could have chosen red.

@Sihd @LilyLilac64 Red has a 99% chance of killing someone, blue has a 49% chance of dying, you absolutely share blame. At the most generous it would still be manslaughter but you are still responsible for the effects of the action, regardless of reasoning

@Sihd @LilyLilac64 Sure you can choose red regardless but if you cant controll 100% of people then you must acknowledge a red choice will result in someone dying and it will be at least partially a direct result of your choice. You can flip this too but blue isnt shirking responsibility if they die

@Sihd @LilyLilac64 Its an inversion of the prisoners dilemma mixed with the trolley problem, where the most favorable outcomes are either 100% red, or anywhere between 51-100% blue, in which case blue is the most favorable option due to the increased likelihood of success.
