@DavidAHoward @BladeoftheS A study done by the IPPR shows that Reforms tax policies will put the government 50b further in debt, and for every 2p the working man gets, the top 10% will get 28p. That alone should be a reason to at least pause and consider your options.

If you're going to remove trans people from those protections - fine, but for god's sakes put something else in place to protect one of the most marginalised groups in Britain.

@Pneudaimonia @BladeoftheS The main issue for me is wealth inequality - taxing working people more when they've never been poorer to pay for public services is pretty fucked given billionaires have never been richer. We did it in the 60s and that was seen as a living standard golden age.

@Pneudaimonia @BladeoftheS The only motivation that corporations have is profit, and while I'm right there with people that don't trust the government to always make proper use of the funds, at the very least they have an incentive to do right by normal people with a hope of winning votes.

Italy has fined Amazon $1.3bn for unfair business practices. In the UK Amazon does not even pay the £3bn a year tax that it should. It's time for us to fine and tax the hell out of Amazon.

Movie lines that still move you to tears

@emmakennytv PLUS you worked with young offenders. This show is about a kid that had never offended or shown these signs - no disrespect to your work, but it's not relevant when talking about a problem we can barely see, let alone convict for.

@WestyStudios21 I worked in this area for 10 years directly with young offenders. All who were out of education usually since primary school. This show is not reflective of the real issues at all. It’s way deeper and more complex

The IDEA that Keir Starmer believes the series Adolescence is some kind of real reflection of what’s actually happening with young people demonstrates just how uneducated he is. Great acting…..totally unrealistic in reality and yet Keir believes showing the series in schools will remedy the ills of our time! LUDICROUS and yet entirely in line with the current leadership!

@emmakennytv The important thing is that it's now being talked about and examined by the people that have the power to change it. If this show makes 5 kids question the morals they learnt from Tate, or 1 teacher want to be better, I'd give Keir some rare praise for putting it in schools.

@emmakennytv Of course it's more complex, but this isn't a documentary it's a gripping drama meant to grab people's attention and show the issues presented. People are too lobotomised to take in to non-fiction these days, so if it takes some creative writing to draw attention, so be it.
