At the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, @JimiHendrix and The Who flipped a coin to decide who would perform first.
Hendrix won.
He closed his set by famously smashing his guitar on stage, creating one of the most iconic moments in rock history. 🎸
2am on a summer evening in 1970, The Who play a historic set at the Isle Of Wight Festival. Footage from the show shot by Academy Award winning Director Murray Lerner, capturing the band playing one of their most memorable shows!

If you’ve been missing Brian Kehew’s most excellent Backstage Blogs, take heart, because in his absence he’s not been idle. He’s written a new blog, Brian Kehew’s Video Blog in which he talks about what it takes to produce those great back-screen videos that you saw on the North American farewell tour in 2025. Lots of great photos, some videos from you guys out there in the audience and all the inside stories about how those videos come together and who is involved in creating them all.
You can find this, and all other Backstage Blogs, at thewho.com. the official site for The Who. Just look under TOURS in the drop down menu and there you’ll find them. Or you can simply follow this link thewho.com/back.../brian-…
Happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Rohatsu, Kwanzaa, Solstice and good old seasonal holidays to Who fans everywhere. We wish you peace and happiness for the coming new year.
Congratulations to all of today’s awards recipients at Windsor - and to the families and friends whose support helps make these occasions so meaningful.

In case you thought we'd forgotten about the last of Brian Kehew's Backstage Blogs we can assure you that he's been very busy following the end of the tour but he's managed to find the time to write his blog for the last show, namely the show at @AcrisureArena out in the Greater Palm Springs desert. A great report from backstage including some fabulous photos of the set up, the sound check, some of the equipment and of course the show itself. Plus some videos from you, the audience and that all-important set list. Brian assures us there will be a blog from the private show we did in aid of @TeenCancerUSA coming soon. In the meantime, here the link for Acrisure Arena. And just look at these lovely smiling faces . . . who are they? who who who who

@BrianKehew's Backstage Blog for today is our show at the @MGMGrandGarden Arena from Sunday 28 September and is now up on thewho.com. Lots of photos from way back when on display in the lobby here and yes, take a look at these cookies. They’re for real. But sadly for you, only available backstage. One of the perks of this job is that we get cookies from time to time. Keeps us happy. As always Brian’s blog brings you a full report of our show with plenty of onstage, backstage and front of stage photos, plus your videos including one of our special guest @BillyIdol singing what else, ‘Rebel Yell’! If you were at our show in Las Vegas or simply wish that you had been, take a look / read of this and other blogs by simply going to thewho.com and looking under TOURS in the dropdown menu and there you’ll find them – or just follow this link thewho.com/backstage-blog…
