building a protocol is about solving 1. the generalization problem: figure out how to make people easily contribute 2. the motivation problem: figure out the mechanism that rewards contribution and punish the bad actors that what differentiates a protocol from a normal app.

generalization + abstraction -> automation automation + permissionless -> autonomous autonomous + cryptography + tokenomics -> decentralization solving decentralization is a very challenging yet interesting system design problem.🤔

younger, faster, more innovative, decentralized, transparent, and efficient Dapps likely drive next bull cycle. they will be easy to use but not in sacrifice of abstracting away the trust assumptions and security guarantees. they are prob very small now or don't even exist yet🤫
