DOJ launches a $1.776 billion 'Anti-Weaponization Fund' to compensate Americans who claim they were targeted by politically motivated federal investigations. The fund settles Trump's $10 billion IRS lawsuit — and he agreed to drop claims tied to the Mar-a-Lago raid and the Russia-collusion probe in return. Trump and his sons won't receive money from the fund. They get a formal apology instead. A five-member commission appointed by the attorney general will oversee payouts through Dec. 15, 2028 — one month before Trump's second term ends.
