Penny's stores are selling Eid Mubarak items under signs which read "Happy St Patrick's Day". A perfect example of social engineering in my opinion. A subtle way to lull citizens into accepting Muslim celebrations in place of their own national, traditional Catholic celebration of St Patrick's Day. @davecoughlan80 tagged me in this and replies are suggesting it's fine, and an over reaction. What do you think? Is this OK to you? Or is it as I suggest, a subtle form of social engineering and acceptance of Eid in place of St Patrick's Day?
