561 days ago I never imagined we’d miss playing home games for an entire season under the tilted roof or that the next family pregame selfie outside of it would wait so long. Seeing our home in person for the first time after the disaster was difficult. Battered and bruised, but not defeated. Today represents the resilience of a stadium, a fan base, and a region. Count us out at your own peril. It’s much more than just a stadium. It’s memories with family and friends. It’s celebration and cheering with complete strangers. It’s tough moments that make you stronger. We don’t care what you think of it, either. It’s home. And, today, we get to return home.
