@TravTheStale @inthewolf555 you just need to put them in the <wacup_program_folder>\skins & then can be selected either via the main right-click -> skins sub-menu or the skins preference page. classic skins work with both wacup builds, modern skins only with the x86 build due to it re-using a 5.666 plug-in.

@inthewolf555 I've been using Wacup for my mp3 collection for a few years, I believe there's a way to make old winamp skins work with it too!

I'm still pissed off we haven't got this shit back. I want my cool themes back. I LOVED that Noodle one so much. Spotify can barely play music videos.

@GodRage_Aonwa I've also had getwacup.com/false_positive… up for a few years now which tries to explain & point out why its more likely to affect the wacup installer & related aspects to it. There's a merit to scanning but imho all too often they're being too cautious / flag uncertain as being 'bad'

@GodRage_Aonwa Those 3 have repeatedly flagged the installer & either take an age to resolve the issue or never respond which is why I stopped bothering to try to get things resolved along with things relying on virustotal often reflecting the bad initial scan. If you don't trust don't use it.

@funknorama the button sizing is typically based on the sizes from the font & those look ok elsewhere. might be an odd dpi handling issue I'm missing with my test setups. I've some changes already in place for the next build that reduce some of the padding so maybe that'll also help for you.

@The_DoctorO ah interesting! well unfortunately i was too fired at the time to think about that, apologies. as for the ui button, i believe WACUP's ui buttons are much more larger than winamp's. not something huge but it can be a bother since i like mine small.

downloaded WACUP (spoiler alert: it sucks) and also doesnt scrobble too so haha!!! haha!!! im going insane the only shot i have right now is a virus infested exe from august that worked but installed weatherzero

@funknorama which ui buttons? it includes a native scrobbling feature when setup via preferences -> playback -> last.fm scrobbler so the last.fm plug-in shouldn't be needed (or you have to manually copy that into the <wacup_program_folder>\plugins to use that.

@The_DoctorO OH MY GOD I AMM SOOOO SORRYYY AHHH!!! it was actually really good i was just really frustrated since the lastfm plugin wouldn't run. if you want actual feedback, i think there should be a way to downsize those ui buttons, they were too big imo. again, sorry for the hate. keep on!

@NOnthrax @JosephP46604547 I've toyed with the idea but have never been sure what'd make sense to try to do with the playback / local library metadata that is present vs just doing the already possible simple csv export & letting some other tooling figure out how to display it.

@_lucyfree if it doesn't meet your needs then using something else makes sense. is just hard to improve / fix things when I'm not being told if there are issues. do you remember what build you were using as some from earlier this year could do like described but the current 20202 shouldn't.

@Ricardo_estep replaygain isn't necessarily an issue to use though the +3dB preamp being applied (which I missed on looking at the config files) should've jumped out at me as the obvious cause for the problem. main thing is it's resolved.

Take so much care, if you use "ReplayGain". 👀 ->Maybe was a kind of "old Metadata crossover" interacting with the new version, I don't actually know why, but it "crushes the sound" pretty bad... ☹️

-After several testings... With the developer support, I found that I had a faulty on my "configuration file". It's all solved now, and I'm rocking in WACUP on version 20202... 🤟🏻🤟🏻

@_lucyfree was there any specific reason / program issue ?

@Ricardo_estep When you're able, could you send me a copy of all of the ini files from the settings folder from both of the installs please (%appdata%\wacup & the settings folder within the portable install) so I can try to see if there's a config mis-match otherwise I'm currently out of ideas.

Cuidado con la última versión del WACUP, no se si a alguien más le pasa pero, tiene problemas de "clipping" con las canciones y el sonido. La version 1.99.20.19994, no tiene este problema.

@Ricardo_estep part of me is wondering if there's some sort of weird process sniffing going on by the other stuff you're using which was the reason for trying to install it into a different folder which afaict seems to behave ok, correct?

@CattManii @LarryBundyJr it'll be for vlb (pre-cursor to aac as I understood it to be) & am fairly sure they shouldn't have ever had that code. it wasn't in the code bundle they got as part of the sale from aol so someone re-added & shipped it post-sale. didn't know they'd leaked dev portal credentials.

Anyone seen the insanity that's going on with Winamp ATM? Winamp was sold off & promised to open source, one problem, they didn’t clean up the source code! It leaks the source code for multiple codecs inc. Dolby, a bunch of obscure formats & DEV ACCESS TO MICROSOFTS DEV PORTAL!

@Ricardo_estep Right-click the eq button - is the limiter option checked in the install that's having issues? Not that the eq levels shown should afaict be causing any of the audio issues the video showed (if the bands were near the top then I could expect it but not with a small level applied)

@The_DoctorO If you disable the EQ, you "repair" the problem, but if the song has a "bad dynamic range", the "clipping" will appear again... I changed too on the "portable install" the output to "Wasapi", on that video. Looks like it works well... 🤔

@Ricardo_estep just to rule out a thought I've had can you try making a portable test install (bottom option in the installer type page) & see if that still has the issue or not please.

@The_DoctorO I use M4A (qAAC) and MP3 files usually.. I don't use "replay gain" as, "Nahimic" has an active volume normalizer for all... Even with the effect enabled, the clipping appears on versions up to 20000. It becomes worse with the "EQ enabled", but without it, the "clips" appear less.

@Ricardo_estep do you have wacup's eq enabled as well? are you using replaygain? is it all file types or only specific ones affected? I can't see any obvious clipping & would hope it'd be reported to me if it was a common issue. x64 + wasapi clipping for 1 beta tester is all I've known about.

@The_DoctorO -x86, Not so Wasapi... I tried DirectSound too, and same error goes... -There are other "several enhancements" that my sound card have... "Nahimic 3" and "Dolby Atmos for Headphones", are enabled.
