@The_FatThor So many people aren’t actually reading into the fact that this is built as a framing device to tell those 6 chapters, they think this is just LOTR doing The Force Awakens. Colbert wouldn’t do that though, his love and respect for the books is second to none. Excited to see it.

People shitting on this but I think it’s an awesome idea. Colbert is a legit Tolkien expert, and the Barrow Downs chapter this movie will adapt is one of the chapters everyone complained was left out of Fellowship. I’m 1000% for it ⚡️⚡️⚡️
