Three types of stop-losses, ranked by survival rate: 1. Structure stop (above/below invalidation level) 2. ATR stop (volatility-based, decent fallback) 3. Dollar stop ("I'll risk $50 here") Your stop should be where you're wrong. Not where you're comfortable.

Prop firm truth nobody wants to hear: Most traders fail challenges not because the rules are unfair, but because they trade differently in the challenge than they would on a real account. Aggressive in the challenge. Cautious after funded. Backwards.

The hardest skill in trading isn't reading charts. It's sitting on your hands when there's no setup and resisting the urge to manufacture one.

Watching new traders argue about indicators while ignoring position sizing is like watching someone pick paint colors for a house with no foundation. 🤷

7 risk management rules I wish someone had forced me to follow in year one. A thread 🧵 1. Risk a fixed % per trade, not a fixed $ amount. $50 risk feels different on a $2K account vs a $20K account. Percentages scale with you. Dollars don't. Most blown accounts started with someone "just adding a little size." 2. Your stop-loss is decided before entry. Always. If you're moving stops mid-trade to "give it room," you're not trading, you're hoping. Hope is not a strategy. The chart told you where you were wrong before you clicked buy. 3. Cap daily loss. Walk away when you hit it. One bad day shouldn't undo a good week. Most prop firm accounts don't fail from one bad trade, they fail from revenge trades after the bad trade. 4. Don't risk more after a loss. Risk less. Your judgment is compromised after a loss whether you feel it or not. Cut size by half until you're back to baseline. The market will still be there tomorrow. 5. Track every trade. Every single one. Not just P&L. Setup, emotion, sleep, why you took it, why you exited. Patterns you don't see, your journal will. 6. Profit is a byproduct of process, not the goal of the day. Traders who chase daily green end up forcing trades that aren't there. Traders who chase clean execution end up green by month-end without trying. 7. The goal isn't to be right. It's to be around long enough for your edge to play out. Survival > certainty. Always. My Sunday review (15 min, every week): 1. Screenshot every trade from the week 2. Tag each: A+ setup, B setup, forced 3. Count rule violations (target: zero) 4. Note one process improvement for next week No P&L analysis. P&L is the output, not the input.

Some prop firm review websites push new prop firms so aggressively that it’s obvious they’re prioritizing affiliate commissions over honest reviews. Then, when the firm collapses, they act like they never promoted it in the first place. Watching all this drama unfold is a shame.

Not everyone needs to be part of the noise. While everyone’s chasing the latest drama and trying to get a word in, I’m quite happy staying out of it. I’d rather keep my head down, focus on what matters, and move quietly. Not every situation needs a reaction.
Not every opinion needs to be shared.
Sometimes, staying silent is the strongest move you can make. I’m not here for the drama, I’m here for progress.
