We're all excited to be heading back to Statfold! The trust stand will have some new displays, and once again, we will be selling DoubleM Models kits with the profits helping restore the Glyn Valley Tramway! Come talk to us about all that's happening at Chirk! 😁 🚂🚃🚃

Last Friday, we got back to placing track panels to the south-side of Hand Lane bridge! Using one of our flat wagons, we moved two more track panels that were stored on top of the running line in the platform. Lots more updates coming soon! 😁 🚂🚃🚃

That's us all set up for ally pally! Ive been telling everyone we're stand 76 but they've moved us to right by the entrance on stand 26!! Come say hi this weekend! We're raising money to help restore @The_GVT !! 😁

It's almost time for the London Festival, and the GVT Trust are so excited to say we're coming along! We'll have a small stand in the Grand Hall with some displays and models kits for sale to help fundraise for the restoration of the tramway! 😁🚂🚃🚃

More track is down at Chirk! Yesterday, our team of volunteers set to work laying more of the line, it's time to get ready for running trains! 😁

The diesel has arrived safely at C.J.S Heritage Engineering Ltd, having being transported safely by TCs Haulage. CJS have already managed to start the loco, and have confirmed that the air system is working. Hopefully, work on regauging the locomotive will start soon!

Yesterday, the Trust's loyal team of volunteers made the long journey down to Somerset to collect some narrow gauge rolling stock and points! These will be at Chirk soon, but first, they will head to C.J.S Heritage engineering for re-gauging and restoration. 🚂🚃🚃

We had an amazing time at the C.J.S Heritage Open Day, there was all sorts on display, including our own Kerr Stuart replica 'Tattoo' locomotive, which was kindly donated to us by the Castro family. We'll share more info on it soon and on ways to help out in its construction!

If you can make it along this weekend, we've got a great event planned! Heritage bus trips, 6 traction engines, chassis cars, vintage motorcycles, three narrow gauge locos being restored, a showmans engine, and rolling stock soon to be sent off to the GVT! Come join us! 😁🚂🚃🚃

Hi everyone! We've had a lot of interesting developments at the tramway, and I can't wait to share them with you all soon! In the meantime, we're having an open day in Wigan next Saturday where you can see GVT rolling stock that's being restored and worked on!

I picked up a bunch of 0-16.5 Glyn Valley stock this weekend at 'Narrow Gauge NOW'. About time when you concider; I'm trying to help restore the real Tramway! I should make a layout for them now, right? 😂 And go follow @The_GVT to see what we're up to and ways to help out! 😁

@NorthWestRailCo Sorry for the slow response! Sadly, we aren't planning on being there this year. There's still a good chance that some of our members will be there though walking around!

@The_GVT Sort of unrelated but will you be at the NFRM at the NEC in November?

Warley is just one week away and we will be there both days on the 11th and 12th of October! If you're attending let us know! 😁

We have had a small incident this evening at Wharf Station involving a fire in the Guard's Room - thankfully no one has been hurt. Our final train service for today was terminated at Pendre, a huge thank you to the passengers for being so understanding of the situation.

A quick reminder that we will be exhibiting at the Warley Model Railway show on the 11th and 12th of October! We'll be taking membership applications as well as selling model kits kindly provided by @DoublemModels, so please stop by and say hi!

Over the last few weeks, we have been working on the area at the south end of the platform. With 3 large tree stumps to remove, we were worried about pulling part of the wall down in the process! we've started to replace the stones that had been pushed out by the tree roots. 🌳🚂
