I saw a lot of opinions on Rebirth's theme song, "No Promises to Keep", yesterday, so I guess it's time for me to talk about it. This won't be an analysis, per se, and I want to draw particular attention to a mostly unknown version of the song (that I prefer). Let's do this.

I know many were disappointed that no Tifa music is being performed at the Rebirth concert, so I'd like to ask: which arrangement of "Tifa's Theme" exclusive to Rebirth (no recycled music from Remake!) is your favorite? (Cissnei's room is the cutscene after the Lifestream, FYI.)

@FFVIImusic Since beating Rebirth in March I have listened to the Aerith Theme/Tenacity Mashup at least once a day. Such a master piece (too bad they got separated on the OST)

@FFVIImusic Big THANK YOU for this detailed analysis. Going by the hours listened to it, I have to call the Jenova Theme variations my favorite tracks from all the FF7 scores. An obsession that only started with the AC version but has persisted for almost 20 years now.

Let's get this started! This may be kind of lengthy, because I'm going to go through each of the Jenova themes and talk a bit about the music in addition to discussing the naming. First up is Jenova Dreamweaver (i.e. Beat/Pulse)/"J-E-N-O-V-A - Quickening" (JPN: 胎動).

@FFVIImusic I love the theme for the mid-tier dress so much (the rock version of her theme), it's a crime it's not on the OST 😭

Theme spotlight: Cheer Up, Aerith. This arrangement of "Aerith's Theme" was handled by Tsuyoshi Sekito. It's a bit rustic, like Aerith's dress. I feel like the cutscene makes it out as though the dress is WAY worse than it actually is, though. Is that just me?
