Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, and many other legends hadn't left this world so soon? Just think of all the masterpieces we've missed out on…

Led Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion was a historic and unique event. It was the only full concert performed by the band’s surviving members following their breakup in 1980. It all began as a tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, the legendary founder of Atlantic Records, who passed away in 2006 and played a pivotal role in Led Zeppelin’s career. The three surviving members—Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones—decided to reunite for a one-off concert on December 10, 2007, at London’s O2 Arena, accompanied by Jason Bonham, son of legendary drummer John Bonham, who had died in 1980 and led to the band’s breakup. That night marked Led Zeppelin’s first (and so far only) full concert since their breakup. After brief and unsuccessful attempts in the 1980s, Jimmy Page wanted to do something big: a show lasting over two hours featuring their entire classic repertoire. The demand for tickets was historic: around 20,000 tickets went on sale, but more than 20 million people from around the world tried to buy them online, breaking a Guinness World Record. The concert was a resounding success. The band sounded powerful, tight, and full of emotion. They played classics like “Good Times Bad Times,” “Ramble On,” “Black Dog,” “Kashmir,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and, for the encore, “Stairway to Heaven” and “Rock and Roll.” Jason Bonham lived up to his father’s legacy, and the chemistry between the four felt intact. Critics and fans alike agreed that it was a magical and emotional night. After the show, many hoped it would turn into a world tour. Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham were up for it, but Robert Plant decided not to continue. He preferred to pursue his solo career and didn’t want to permanently return to the past.

The story behind AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” is that of one of hard rock’s most powerful and recognizable riffs, born from a simple guitar idea. In the late ’80s, during the Blow Up Your Video tour, Angus Young was practicing at home when a “trick” or guitar exercise came to him: that lightning-fast, addictive pattern of notes that opens the song (played almost entirely with one hand). He showed it to his brother Malcolm, who immediately added a powerful backing rhythm. Between the two of them, they built the entire structure of the song in just a few months. The most famous urban legend claims that Angus was inspired while traveling on a plane that was struck by lightning and nearly crashed. It’s a story the band told for years, but Angus himself debunked it in the liner notes for the reissue of The Razors Edge (2003): it was just a guitar exercise, nothing more. Brian Johnson wrote the lyrics in classic AC/DC style: energy, power, and electricity. They liked the title “Thunderstruck” because it sounded strong and fit perfectly with the band’s image (“AC/DC = Power”). It was recorded in 1990 for the album The Razors Edge, produced by Rick Rubin, and became the first single. The song marked AC/DC’s triumphant return after a few difficult years for the band.

🤔 Wayne Mardle had some words of advice for Luke Littler after his battles with the crowd in recent weeks, saying it "has to stop". "It's a new phase that he's going through, he's starting to bite a little more with the crowd and that's got to stop. "Luke Littler will have to realise, 'I might have to be that bit quiet, let the darts do the talking'. Antagonising the audience, which he has done on occasions (Isn't good)... "And don't talk about the amount prize money up for grabs that they're putting in your pocket because that's not the way forwards!" #Darts
