ThatPortharcourtBoy aka Nnukwu Nmanwu@ThatPHCBoy

all the beating that nigerian parents beat their kids growing up, did it work? as a collective, do we behave like people who were well raised? this does not even require any sophisticated study, the answer is starring us in the face

One of my neighbors refused to let his wife work after they got married. He said he could provide for the family alone. She stayed home for eleven years raising their children. Last month, he came home and said the marriage was over. He had met someone else. She asked how she was supposed to start life again. He told her, “That’s not my problem anymore.” Me: what about the kids? 👀 Men!

My mother-in-law is honestly one of the best things that has ever happened to me. She’s my second mum She's always looking out for me. If there's an opportunity that can bring in money, she'll put me on. She encouraged me to join a cooperative so I can be more financially stable, and because we're in the same line of business, she's constantly giving me valuable advice. She's incredibly supportive. She cooks for me and doesn't even like to stress me. It's usually me that insists on helping. 😂 If she bakes or makes anything, she'll make sure some gets waybilled to me. 🥹❤️ I'm genuinely grateful for her. I love her so much.

Guys, please indulge me. ❤️ Let’s talk about good mothers-in-law for a change. I mean the ones who welcomed you like a princess the very first time you visited, and made you leave feeling like a queen. The ones who, even after settling in their family, never gave you a reason to regret marrying into their family. Let’s celebrate them today. We’ve heard enough about bad in-laws. 🥹❤️ I’ll go first. 👇🏼

Turned off my read receipts because I dated someone who always, I mean, always ignored me until he felt like it. Once he had an accident, and I realized he could have died and I wouldn’t know for a while because he never replied my messages, and I had gotten used to it.

I lost my memory for almost two months after delivery. 😭I’d call anyone passing by to come and carry the baby in my room because I genuinely didn’t know whose baby it was. My husband said he’d just pet me and calmly tell me, “Please breastfeed the baby before the mother comes”

Things our mother didn’t tell us 1. First trimester wahala 2. First pee after childbirth 3. First poop after childbirth 4. Lochia discharge 😷 5. There is one stomach upset that happens too (not that serious though) 6. The part where your nipple is going to peel at first then heals back

I can’t find the picture again 😂 But there was legit a picture of me side eyeing my Uncle He was just drunk, loud and shouting about how my Husband should have brought more items because I was a Doctor and they trained me in school This man had never given me a kobo His own girlfriend was there they had 5 kids together and he had not paid her bride price
Deisine@TDeisine

My husband was begging me to stop crying, the make-up artist has retouched my face over and over just to hide the tear stains simply because my aunty was screaming and throwing fits that the camera man started the order of photography from the grooms family instead of the brides family.

Some months ago, I tweeted about a 36-year-old man who suffered a partial stroke, and how his wife said she was no longer interested in the marriage because of his condition. About two months ago, he returned from Ondo as his health began to improve, although his hand still hasn’t fully healed. Yesterday, he called my colleague again, crying bitterly. He had discovered that his landlord’s son was having an affair with his wife. After gathering enough evidence, he confronted him but the situation escalated. The young man beat him badly and even had him locked up at the police station. After his release, the police advised him to focus on his health and rebuild his life. They warned that if he didn’t, he might lose everything he had been fighting for. his well-being, his marriage, and his children. With nowhere to go, he reportedly slept inside a bus for a week. He has now returned to Ondo because his wife refused to let him back into the house. His children love him deeply and keep reminding him that they understand what’s happening. The older one is 12, the younger is 10 but there’s little they can do right now. Years from now, when those children begin to search for their father, someone might come online and tell this same story again. There are always two or three sides to every marital situation. That’s all I’ll say. Shalom.

Your mum singlehandedly raised you. When you got to university, you suddenly started looking for your father. Your grandma gave you a few details, you found him, and now you want to change your surname to his. Kò burú. 🤭

😂 This one hot 🔥 A woman venting on tiktok: “My husband travelled abroad and left me with our two kids. At first he was sending small money, now he sends £400 every month. But prices are crazy in Nigeria! I complained and accused him of spending on another woman. he just bought a new iPhone, Apple Watch and fine clothes for himself.” The husband calmly replied: “If what I’m doing is not enough, go and look for another husband.” But, how do you say 730k monthly is too small for a family of three, or na me broke wey 730k big for my eye???

My neighbor’s husband used to walk out whenever his wife started trouble. People often advised her to calm down and sort things out, but she always snapped back at them. One day, he got fed up and left again like he usually did. As he was leaving, she told him, “If you step out of this house, don’t come back.” This time, he didn’t. Last week, she found out he had traveled out of the country. No one informed her, she was no longer among the people who mattered. Since then, she’s been crying up and down like bush baby . I saw her this morning, greeted her and she just hissed at me like snake, what did I do? 😏 Lowkey, I’m even glad the man finally left her. Shior😏

I saw a story on Tiktok, a woman and her husband went to a party. The husband's colleagues wedding. Her husband's girlfriend also attended the wedding. Apparently, she knows the girl was her husband's gf. After the event, the husband told the wife that she should wait outside for him, while he goes to drop the gf and her friend, because there was no taxi again to take his gf home. This woman said she waited there silently because she didn't want to cause a scene, even though she was fuming and pissed. Her husband eventually came back to take her home. When They got home, her husband said the girl had forgotten her purse in his car. So he left his wife, went back to the girl's house, and got back home in the middle of the night. Like nothing happened.

As a woman, if you don't respect yourself, no one would respect you, not even your husband.

I will pick Sola Allyson 100 times over many of your faves who mention Jesus 20times in their songs, but are simply profiting off the gospel. Their songs have zero substance and gives zero edification or lead to worship.

@Folahanayo1 You are a "gaslighter." You were wrong and never bothered to apologize. Instead you chose to deflect. The name of Jesus has never been, and will never be, a sensitive issue among Christians. Is this the teaching of Christ?
