@TheeBeardGuy

I'm just a blood-bought sinner saved by God's amazing grace! I love my beard, people, bookstores and restaurants. I love God more than anything else.

This boda boda rider was robbed and attacked by thugs who made away with a motorcycle that didn’t belong to him. An online fundraiser raised 13 million shillings to help compensate the bike's owner and also purchase his own.

By 1879, Uganda 🇺🇬 was the only place in the world where C-section were performed to save both mother and baby. European observers documented this practice, which used local tools, herbal anesthetics, & antiseptics.

Parenting I have or we have been parents for just over 20yrs and have started testing whether the parenting we have been doing makes sense. Over 20yrs of parenting needs a whole book and a lot of parenting doesn’t happen In front of cameras, a bit of it does but that’s limited. Many of you who have followed me for long have had a bit of what I have done with especially the boys. The boys have represented uganda in motocross for example. After his A levels for example, Kylan Wekesa decided to take a gap year, to work with us so help choice what to study wisely, ended up one and half years. Eventually decided he was going to study tourism, all along he wanted to study engineering since he loves using his hands, later business. After working with us full time for one and half years, he realized tourism covers very many fields and he decided it’s the course he wanted to study. If you google top 10 universities in the world for tourism, he has gone to one of them. Of course he is advantaged by the experience he has gotten over the years. Every 2 days we talk for at least an hour after his classes and he will say stuff like dad, my colleagues think starting class at 9am is tough. And he is like by 5am, am up, I make my breakfast, clean my room and read and by 9am I have done lots of stuff. That didn’t just happen. We have been very tough on matters like learning how to cook, cleaning up and woken them up so early so many times that doing things early isn’t seen as punishment. For Kylan started when we started traveling together, I would choose weird flights like waking up at 2am and taking flights, i would assign him to wake us up and if he didn’t, I would say we would miss flights. With up country trips, I would choose we leave Kampala at 3am and it would be his responsibility to wake me up. We did it over and over. Just became part of him. Very good at keeping time. Recently I asked him why he didn’t want to talk to me when we rode bicycles through karamonja. Dad, we had done a coupe rides around Kampala and all is a sudden you commit to a big challenge. Am like son, life doesn’t prepare you for challenges, some challenges just fall in place and you have to deal with them as they come. He was the youngest during that challenge and he did do well. We would wake up 6am, have breakfast and ride bicycles until 6pm, a minimum of 100kms a day. We were camping with no proper toilets and he was like I would hold until we got decent place. So many times I would decisions of what I would do with the boys and my wife wouldn’t talk to me for days. I understood her reasoning, she carried those guys for 9 months and I didn’t. But they have to live in the world of near misses, full of challenges, where they will be slapped in their faces and that had to learn that early. That informed my decisions. She would appreciate later. There are days I would also get scared of things we were involved in, like during motocross, I would simply go to the bathroom and pray for their safely. There were so many near misses and would see Gods protection.

@DokitaSharon So I’d say that counseling is a powerful tool but emotional maturity and personal accountability are still foundational. Preparation shouldn’t just be about attending classes. It must be about doing the internal work.

@DokitaSharon I agree. I also however believe that counseling only works if the individuals are willing to be honest, self-aware, and committed to growth. You can attend sessions and still avoid dealing with your real issues.

Stop telling your parents what your plans and ideas. They get excited and discuss them with friends and relatives and it’s never good idea. Normalize lying to them until those plans have come to mature.

Dear parents : Don’t sign up your sons for our program!! Our program is rough, tough and traumatic. In the 10 days your son will spend with us, he will be shouted at, he will wake up at 04 am to jog in the dark, he will carry his back-bag with 40kgs on his back for 17 kms, he will be made to roll in the mud, he will fall and kneel on stones, he will get wounds all over and that’s not all. When he arrives late for an activity, he will come kneeling, when he refuses to shower, he will be forced to shower in the middle of the road at 1am in the night. In that camp, He will have his own tent ⛺️ and if he fails to keep it clean, we will dislodge it so he can sleep in the grass. When he steals another person’s property, he will be punished. Our camp is not good for your boy. Don’t bring him. He will be made to participate in difficult drills rain or sunshine. In our camp, we force boys to respect their parents. We rebuke boys who are disobedient. We rebuke girly tendencies. We indoctrinate them against homosexuality and gay tendencies. Everything is tough in this camp. It’s “traumatic” as idiots call it. When he’s shy , he will be forced to be bolden up. I don’t want ur son in our camp. Look for camps that are soft. Where they don’t shout at kids. Where they carry them around on the back. Where the kids talk back to their instructors and they smile. Look for those camps.

Thank you, 2025. 🔥 I went quiet. Logged out. Locked in. While the world kept moving, I was chasing a promise I made to myself and I finally kept it. Passed the U.S. medical licensing exams. Now officially certified MD in the USA. 🇺🇸
