@FFVIINovels Kujata will forever be one of my favourite summons throughout the series because of the mythology behind it. I remember seeing it in a book at school & realising it was the same one from FF7. Then being confused why Bahamut was a fish. I’d love to see Kujata in more FF titles.

The summon Kjata is yet another of Final Fantasy VII's mistranslations, and should instead be 'Kujata', the cosmological bull of Arabian mythology. In the creation stories of several ancient Middle Eastern cultures, it was determined by the supreme deity that the Earth was too unstable, and thus required an immense angel to support it. However, the angel was unbalanced, and so God formed a vast rock of ruby for him to stand on. The ruby itself was carried on the back of a great bull called Kujata, said to have 4,000 ears, eyes, mouths, nostril, legs and heads. While the Kjata of Final Fantasy VII lacks such extravagance, its multitude of features and spine of ruby-coloured crystal or fur can clearly be seen. As a side note, Kujata was also supported by a cosmic fish so large that mankind could not comprehend it. And the fish's name? Bahamut.

I reached my goal for the year! Jan 1st, I was at 725 subs & after I dropped my first 'Breaking the Lore' in Feb, the subs shot up really quick. I can't believe I've hit 900! Thank you all for the amazing support this year & I hope you enjoy all the content to come in 2026!
