The upcoming tool will launch as a paid add-on and is designed to let artists and songwriters earn money from licensed fan-made AI covers and remixes. Spotify says the model is built around “consent, credit, and compensation.”

An art teacher at Barrington Middle School in Florida allegedly wrapped a charger cord around a Black baby doll’s neck and hung it over a classroom TV as a “display.” When students questioned her, she reportedly laughed and said she did it “to get their attention.” A student recorded the whole thing on video.
