The same thing happened to my mother last december. This is just so difficult . Afraid I am going to lose my oldest brother too.

The day before christmas eve , my brother had a stroke. I have been visiting him daily at the hospital..yesterday , he looked at me and said he wanted to go home As I was leaving...broke my heart...this morning I woke up and cried for an hour.

Had to take my brother to the hospital....turned out he had a stroke.....not sure how long he will be in the hospital...and last year the same thing happened with my mother ....and now....shit ....

Alright, I'm getting on my soapbox. This is my "Network" moment. Let me clue you folks in on something. When I create each poll, I do my very best to make them balanced. Meaning, I try to put four movies that I feel objectively are of similar quality or theme. I try not to put heavy hitters with smaller movies. For example, I would never do a 90s movie poll and put Goodfellas and Pulp Fiction with say, Showgirls and Waterworld. That would be absurd and a waste of everyones' time, including mine. So when you decide to be quirky and rebellious and say "none of these choices" or "these all suck" or "XYZ movie is better than all of these" that's fine but you no longer get to participate. Instant block. I don't get paid for this, not one cent. I don't get any benefit other than the joy it brings me and that I see it bringing to others. That's it. I spend hours and hours and hours and HOURS of my personal time both at home AND work trying to thoughtfully and carefully curate balanced polls, so that you folks will have consistent content to engage with and look forward to. Please don't insult my effort and time by telling me the movies I carefully chose all suck, or naming movies I did not mention. SPECIFICALLY when I say in the caption "just these four movies". It is rude, disheartening, and infuriating. Most of you won't even see this and it will just continue. And some of you are probably thinking "Relax, dude." That's fine, just don't let it be you because my patience meter went to zero then it fell off and currently it's on the floor somewhere. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming 🙂
