The top picture won't destroy my house in a bad storm. The top picture doesn't have me cleaning gutters regularly. The top picture doesn't have roots destroying my foundation. The top picture doesn't require expensive arborists to take care of the trees to minimize any potential damage.

Hot take: I prefer the top pic. I will GLADLY pay a higher bill for more A/C if it means minimal gutter cleaning, no foundation threat, and never having to worry about a limb coming through my roof during a storm.
