Watch how Charlie Kirk engages with a college liberal who claims baby fetuses are “parasites.” He never raised his voice. He never lost his temper. He just kept asking her questions until her entire argument started collapsing. Kirk: “What does fetus mean in Latin? It means little human being.” (smiling) Student: “His smile is very creepy.” Kirk: “Smiling is creepy?” Student: “No, your smile specifically. But let’s go back to —” Kirk: “What species is the fetus?” Student: “The fetus is not a species yet — it’s technically classified as a parasite until it is viable.” Kirk: “I can’t really get past that. Are you saying a baby is a disease or a tumor?” Student: “A parasite is not a disease and a tumor. Those are not the same thing. A parasite is defined as something that cannot survive outside its host. A baby before it is viable cannot survive outside of a woman’s womb.” Kirk: “So let’s extrapolate that. Are old people with Alzheimer’s and dementia that are being assisted every day — are they parasites?” Student: “No, they’re not parasites. They’re human beings who are on the brink of death.” Kirk: “So my four-month-old that requires mom’s breast milk and requires daily changes and feedings — cannot survive without its own — is my four-month-old the parasite?” I will never get tired of looking back and watching Charlie Kirk cordially cook his opponents under pressure. He was the calmest, sharpest, and most eloquent debater of his generation. Also would have made a great president. He will be dearly missed.

John Cleese asks why ‘non-radical’ Muslims are not speaking out against ‘radical Islam’ The answer that no one wants to face is that what is generally understood as “radical Islam” is taught in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and “non-radical” Muslims know this, and so they also know that if they speak out against it they could be accused of heresy or apostasy. Rather than have to live their lives looking over their shoulders in fear of their “radical” brethren, they keep silent. Then there are the outright deceivers, who teach that Islam properly understood is peaceful. They know better, but are trying to foster complacency among non-Muslims. A complacent infidel is one who does not fight back.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

Henry Shevlin@dioscuri

Seriously though, why is there something borderline psychoactive about this specific set of motifs? Why pools? Why no windows? Why the pastel colours? It feels suspiciously like an arbitrary code execution exploit on the human mind.

The Backrooms in general is the extended mythology of a rotted stagnate world. The Backrooms is everything about the later 90s preserved but extended into a twisted bewildering place that is wrong but familiar. All the levels represent some sort of exaggerating disconcerting piece of modernity, an office with no purpose that goes on forever, its stagnate air, humming lights make one uncomfortable but its the place of familiarity. Most of the Backrooms levels are that, places that either aught to be reassuring, and familiar but are twisted and have expanded into an inescapable prison. You can never leave the Backrooms, the Poolrooms, on and on, are inescapable purgatories for which nothing changes or progresses in a logical manner, as if time and history have collapsed into incoherence. Nothing really makes sense in the Backrooms. Like living in America today, you can't trust your senses, there is no logic or consistency. Your actions truly cannot assure you a good outcome, in fact you are just as likely to die horrifically going down the slide as you are to find the next level, and the next level has new rules that are as arbitrary and unhinged as the last level. And always there are roving monsters whose origins and intentions are completely unknown but whose lethality is ever present. The Backrooms is the End of History, a present that has no future, no progression except through levels of the same realm that has always been and always will be. We are all living in the Backrooms of History.

Très précieuse explication.

So I have a (mostly) useless degree in film theory and my personal concentration was National cinema. Meaning the study of how a racial/ethnic group represents themselves, their history, present and future through the artistic medium of film. You will find that every single race of people on earth represent reality differently through film. The essence of that difference is found in the people themselves and what makes them, them. The racial spirit of a people is illustrated through their use of film making and visual storytelling in such a manner that a Bollywood film and a Korean film are so different in the manner of their storytelling, character development, camera techniques etc they might as well be from different planets. My favourite example of this is how Irish cinema is known for its dark, often crude, tragic comedy which mirrors the spirit of the Irish and their history perfectly. French cinema also intertwines deep philosophical ideas with ordinary everyday life and often uses rebellious and bold storytelling/camera techniques. Very in alignment with the French spirit. These distinct artistic differences give visual representation to the distinct differences between the racial spirit of people. What’s even more important though is that the artistic medium of film is in effect a form of collective dreaming. One steps into the theatre, sits back in a comfy seat, the lights dim, the screen illuminates and we experience the film itself in a similar fashion as we would a dream. The cinema provided the enthralling and thrilling experience of a new reality where anything could be possible. Where we could be reminded of who we are and we could imagine who we might be but for the first time as a shared experience. And what are dreams if not the deep internal world which inspires the creation and building of the external material world. Most people think of movies as just entertainment but in reality it is so much more than that. It is programming, guided dreaming and identity creating on the societal scale. What a people dream and feel about themselves internally they become in a sense. This is why these race swapped roles in historical dramas are not merely superficial and are in effect evil. It takes a historical figure, their contribution to the spirit of their race and thus a national identity and transgresses upon it by corrupting the image as belonging to anyone, everyone and therefore no one. It is stolen valour. It is the highest form of cultural erasure in art, it is history rewriting in pursuit of identity destruction. Not surprisingly it is something we exclusively see in roles which rightfully belong to whites. It is the explicit propaganda arm of white replacement. It aims to make us forget who we are, induce a form of collective amnesia about our history and ultimately erase from all future memory the truth of our ancestors heroics and bravery.

***WHO WOULD WIN?*** A bunch of working-class kids from Queens with no academic education — the kings of campy power metal, Manowar. “The lyrics to their song about the Iliad suggest a careful and thorough reading. The songwriter has … paraphrased several passages from the poem, adapting them to the melodic structure with great dexterity, and partially reinterpreting them — but never altering or disrupting Homer’s original narrative.” — Professor Eleonora Cavallini Or a Yale-educated feminist with the entire progressive press and Hollywood behind her? “Wilson makes so many mistakes that, taken together, they begin to undermine the reader’s trust in her translation. Straightforward blunders include attributing a speech to the wrong character, introducing a character who does not exist in the Odyssey, and mistakenly swapping another one. Among Wilson’s other mishaps are numerous mistranslations, omitted lines, and factual errors.” — Professor Richard Whitaker Friends, we could replace DEI academics with tattooed KISS roadies and end up with a higher academic standard 🤗
