I'd like to announce that I have successfully defended my PhD thesis on transiting brown dwarfs earlier today. I will be joining the University of Edinburgh later this year to continue this research. Let me know what I should check out in the UK when I get there ✨

@Therbaer exoplanet.eu lists a lot of things in the 50 Mj range as exoplanets; 'Oumuamua is also listed as a directly imaged planet

New paper on the arXiv today! We confirm and characterize two new massive, short-period Jupiters, TOI-558 and TOI-559, found in the @TESSatMIT Full Frame Images. This work is the final form of my senior thesis! 🙌

@tadkomacek @astronomerslc25 Actually, I learned from @Therbaer at @CenterForAstro last week that the sample size of transiting brown dwarfs is now up to 26! So I think there is something that could really be done there. @ThorngrenDaniel and I were just chatting about the impressive sample size.
