The underlying logic is simple. Attention has always been the most valuable commodity in sport. What's new is that attention can now be financialised and settled directly, in real time, without an intermediary. When a fan takes a position on whether Mbappé scores in the Clásico, they are not placing a bet. They are pricing information. That distinction matters enormously. Prediction markets are not the latest iteration of sports betting. They are the emerging infrastructure for how information gets valued across every domain where outcomes are uncertain: be it sports, politics or financial events. This is the new battleground for trading: not securities, not commodities, but outcomes. The asset class is attention. The exchange is a prediction market. And the liquidity is global and always on.
